The official history of CAMRA by Tony Millns and Roger Protz, Called to the
Bar: An Account of the First 21 Years of the Campaign for Real Ale, was
published in 1992, but not, I think, since updated.

Dear David,
I have not heard about any history of CAMRA. I am surprised that they were
founded as long ago as when I was a graduate student--that makes me feel
old!
I do know that they publish regular "good beer" or "good pub" guides that
seem to be in the bookstores whenever I go to Britain, and I imagine the
latest edition of those will have some historical tribute. My guess is
that we are more likely to see commemorative articles in the press. In any
case, I will keep an eye open when I am in Britain for Christmas.
A general question for our leaders: do we have a date yet for the ATHG
lunch at the AHA in San Francisco. I am going to be there as chair of a
search committee, but I do want to try to block out that luncheon slot if I
possibly can, in order to see the old gang (and several new faces, by the
look of the program!).
Best wishes,
Geoffrey
