In response to Jacek Moskalewicz's interest in a project on alcohol policy in Nazi Germany, I of course still have a heap of archival material on that question which I have not yet fully processed, having been diverted into both the history of the Holocaust, and the history of sexuality. It is fairly unlikely that I shall get around to writing up the alcohol material until I retire in 2013, when I foresee lavish expanses of writing time! Meanwhile a small Arbeitsgemeinschaft on the topic would certainly keep me focused on the topic.
In addition to my Drogalkohol article that I cited before Christmas ("Die Alkoholfrage im Dritten Reich," Drogalkohol, 3, December 1986, pp. 257-265), let me also mention the following article of mine:
"Student Drinking in the Third Reich: Academic Tradition and the Nazi Revolution," in Susanna Barrows & Robin Room (Eds.), Drinking: Behavior and Belief in Modern History (Berkeley, 1991), pp. 132-43.
Best wishes,
Geoffrey
