Although I won't be able to attend, I was quick to skim the American
Historical Assocation program for 2002 when it arrived.  In addition to
seeing the two strong ATHG sessions, I noticed the paper by Erica J. Peters
(University of Maryland University College), "Alcohol and Authority:
Contesting French Industrialization of Vietnamese Rice Wine,
1893-1913."  And many names familiar to ATHG members are presenting papers
on other topics (for instance, Ian Tyrrell).  Will give details of the two
ATHG sessions later.
