Dear fellow temperance researchers:

I am preparing a research project on the impact of the American
prohibitionists on the temperance fight in the Netherlands in the period
1840-1940 and would like to know whether comparative research has been done.
I am particularly interested by the influence of the American
prohibitionists on the Dutch protestants. Can someone give me examples of
studies, or the results of their own research on the impact of US movement
on other European countries?
Did anyone formulate research objectives for comparative studies or report
about the difficulties of such comparisons?

I would be very grateful for your assistance.

yours,

Hans Krabbendam
