Dear Jon,

I think I can unearth the bibliography and send it to you as an attachment
if anyone expresses interest.

                                        Cheers,

                                        David

Thayne,

Another valuable source for bibliography on the subject can be found
in the SHAR:

David W. Gutzke, "A History of Drink and British Literature." The
Social History of Alcohol Review 28-29 (Fall 1993/Spring 1994), 38-49.

Dr. Gutzke's bibliography goes back to the 1860s. It also contains a
number of items on other English authors from Chaucer to Conan Doyle.
I have no copies of this issue to sell, but if you email your address
to me I'll send you a photocopy of the bibliography. That goes for
anyone else on the list too. My email is <[log in to unmask]>.

Jon
