Hey all,

The second annual Digital Media & Learning CFP has just been released
into the wild -- Katie Salen (game designer, runs a game-based high
school in NYC called Quest2Learn; q2l.org) is chairing it this time:

There's a wonderful, interdisciplinary crew of digital media &
learning folks on the conference committee (S. Craig Watkins, danah
boyd, Sheryl Grant, Trebor Scholz, Mark Surman). I went last year and
it was a great experience -- a wide array of folks, from education,
learning, & literacy scholars, practicing teachers, cultural studies
folks, interactive media/game designers, digital humanities folks,
etc. Here's last year's program:

Last year, the conference itself was free (no registration fees),
though I don't know if they're doing that again this year (Macarthur
has deep pockets, though, so who knows). It's in Long Beach the
weekend right before Spring Break (and concurrent with the last half
of the Game Developer's Conference, alas). I'll certainly be going,
and would love to talk about it more with anyone who is interested!

All the best,

--sean
