Hello all :)
Please see below for information about the Dia de los Muertos and Todos los Santos exhibit in MacMillan:
You’re invited to a presentation and reception for:
Día de los Muertos and Día de Todos los Santos
Wednesday, October 28th at 5:00pm
Great Room, 212 MacMillan Hall
The students of the ATH 305 class at Miami University have created an exhibit in order to learn about and to celebrate el Día de los Muertos and el Día de Todos los Santos. The exhibit contains 3 alters: one of a traditional style, one to honor the people who have died when trying to cross the border, and another to honor the people of Miami University’s history.
On October 28th, the students are going to explain their exhibit, the reasons why they choose these themes and also how this tradition takes place in various Latin American countries.
Refreshments will be provided, including pan de muerto.
Sponsored by the Center for American and World Cultures and the José and Kathy Barahona Latino Resource Fund.
