TO ALL ALAS MEMBERS,

My name is Luis Fernando Midence and I am a second year graduate in the
Department of Theatre. I am currently producing and directing a theatre
show titled "The Goat or, Who is Sylvia?" as part of my graduate thesis
project.

Unlike most theatrical presentations here on campus, we’re going to be
staging the show in a different auditorium around campus every night,
trying to make it accessible to all students to attend. We are also
encouraging student groups and organizations to participate on specific
dates.

We would like to invite all members of ALAS on THURSDAY, MARCH 1 at 8:00
PM in MCGUFFEY HALL 322.

The show is only 90-minutes long and will provide for a good study-break
before we all leave for Spring Break in early March. The story was written
by Edward Albee and revolves around a man who falls in love with a goat
named Sylvia, and the consequences that this new love affair has on his
family and friendships. This show was the recipient of the 2002 Tony Award
for Best Play and was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.

We hope this is an activity most members of ALAS would like to take part
of. We can provide you with posters and flyers to distribute among members
of the organizations, as well as provide seating arrangements for the day
of the performance. No tickets are required, but seating is limited.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via e-mail at

I appreciate your time and support, and I hope to see you all on THURSDAY,
MARCH 1 at 8:00 PM in MCGUFFEY HALL 322 to watch “The Goat.”

Sincerely,

Luis F. Midence
