Jeff,
1) If you are on 4.0.3 CAM/CAS with 4.0.2.0 agent, then you can apply
hotfixes rules to XP_Pro, XP_MCE and XP_TabletPC specifically.
2) You can also apply the AV/AS rules - however, those are generic to
XP/2K. So, you would specify the req-rules for XP_ALL and it will get
applied to all.
3) If you are on 4.0.2.2 CAM/CAS with 4.0.2.0 agent (or 4.0.1.0 agent),
then you can apply hotfixes rule to XP (there is no distinction between
the type of XP - the same rule will be applied to all XPs).
4) Nothing changes for AV/AS rules - they will still get applied
generically to all XP.
5) If you are on 4.0.0.1 CAM/CAS and 4.0.2.0 agent, same as (3) and (4).

How about the AV rules? It looks like the only OS choices I have are
XP/2K and ME/98. Even if I modify all of the hotfix and service pack
rules to Windows All, will the Media Center and Tablet machines still be
allowed on with no AV or outdated defs?

CAM/CAS at 4.0.2, CCAA at 4.0.1.0. After seeing the horror stories over
the last few days, I am not inclined to upgrade or patch anything at
this time...
XP Media Center and Tablet PC edition machines are required to install
the agent but dont appear to be required to pass any rules. From earlier
posts, it seems that I have to make copies of all of the XP rules, then
set the copies to pertain to Windows All and then create new
requirements. Is this correct?
Wont this also make the agent require XP patches for Windows 2000 and 9x
clients? I dont have any 9x clients (we shunned them last year) but I do
have several Windows 2000. Is it possible to somehow seperate them?
