Try repairing the installation of McAfee.

Open VirusScan Console -> Help -> Repair Installation.

Has anyone had a problem like this?  The client fails the AV
installation check but passes the AV def file check......  The report
for this user shows the AV information (see below).  We have the
requirements set so that the first requirement is "AV Installed" and the
second is "AV DEF file up to date".  (and then windows related checks)
User is running XP.
