WE host an HTTP/FTP server that is accessible from the unauthenticated and
temp roles. All of the EXE files for hot fixen are stored there. For us,
its not a bandwidth issue so much as a work around for students who cant'
get Windows Update to handle it for them. Our help desk has read only
access to CCA and checks their report to find which specific check they are
failing, then they tell them
http://server.millersville.edu/tools/KB######.exe and that solves about 90%
of the problem children. The rest are told to bring their PC's to the
SafetyNet (our moniker for student repair) office.

Would require a big retool of how rules/checks tie together I think to
accomplish what you are talking about. But some of the facilities are
there, this is how the Network Scanner worked when we used that last year.
