We've been working on one.

The only problem is the Microsoft patches... Legally, we're not
supposed to distribute them.

Subject: Stand-alone "scanning" agent

Hello all,

We have a Perfigo solution that requires windows patches, virus
protection, etc in order to obtain network connectivity.

We are exploring the idea of supplying our incoming students with some
sort of stand-alone program that would perform a "audit" of windows
computers that they would be able to run before they arrive on campus.

We've open to writing something from scratch to purchasing a tool. Is
anyone doing something similar? If so, what tool(s) do you use to do so.

Thanks in advance,

Bob Black
