Mike,

You are correct. CCA OOB only works with Cisco switches.

However, CCA Inband (a.k.a. inline) works with any vendor's switches,
access points, hubs, routers, etc.

HTH,
-Rajesh.

Subject: CCA on Alcatel Switches

Hello All,
We are currently working towards getting CCA on our campus. We
ran a demo a year ago, but for budget reasons couldn't move forward
until now. We run Alcatel equipment here (all new 8800 cores, with new
6800 stacks in our dorms). Do any of you have CCA running on Alcatel
switches? If you do, please let me know how it works, if there are any
issues you know of. Am I right in thinking that OOB only works on Cisco
equipment?
