"I saw the best band of my generation ignored by critics, radio, TVT,
dragging themselves through the non-ethnic streets at dawn looking for a cold
beer,
angel-voiced songsters burning for the ever elusive connection to the starry
dynamo in the machinery of success,
who "torn and tattered" and "slackjawed" and "too high" sat up drinking in the
un-natural sameness of motel decor stretching across every city contemplating
Tom Bodett...."
 
(No way I can do this over the combined din of Dede laughing that loud, and
