When I first listened to the album I was stunned by it. Not in a good way
either. Of course, this was partly because I was expecting much of the
same sound as Ring and One Simple Word.
I listened to it a second time. It begin to grow on me. By the 8th time,
I decided I really really liked it.
I've been trying to decide on what was it about this album that seperates
it from Ring and OSW. And I think you've nailed it Mike. The earlier
albums were filled with youthful bitterness and melancholy.
WFAD is older. Cynical. Bitter as all hell. And much grimmer and darker
than just about anything I've heard of theirs before.
