Thanks for posting, Kevin--I appreciate it.
Couple things: first of all, I didn't say "Don't vote for Nader." I
said if you *do* vote for Nader, the state of NC will throw your vote
in the trash. Literally. The Green Party is not a recognized party in
NC at this time, so *any* votes for *any* GP candidates are trashed.
Just as if you had written in "My cat Fluffy." I WAS going to vote for
Nader until I found that out. Since *I* only found it out the day
before the election, I thought that perhaps very few people knew about
it.
So that's why I don't consider my post a "political ad." I wasn't
telling anyone what to vote; I wasn't endorsing any particular
candidate; I wasn't trashing any particular candidate--I was making an
election-day-related *statement*. Perhaps my command of the English
language isn't all I could wish for, if everyone who read that message
interpreted it as "Don't vote for Nader."
BTW, if anyone would like to do what Kevin had done earlier, i.e. start
a "news-only" list and maintain it, then more power to ya.
