I've noticed several people mentioning their place of residence while
signing up to be branches, with a definite connection implied.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what does a person's geographical
location have to do with being a branch or a leaf on the tape tree?
Aren't all our swaps going to be done via U.S. mail? It costs just
as much to send a tape first class across town as it does to send
it from one coast to the other -- the only difference is a few days
in the delivery time, which is hardly critical.

Did I miss something?
