Those music fans who don't want to brave the crowds or the heat will be able
to get a small sampling of the festival's musical acts on cable this year.
Turner South will broadcast a live two-hour concert on May 5th. The
broadcast is a first for both Music Midtown and Turner South. "This is one
of the things this year that I'm very excited about," said Alex Cooley, one
of the Music Midtown promoters, "I think it takes the festival to another
level."

David Rudolph, vice president and general manager of Turner South, said the
lineup for the broadcast would be announced soon and will include "a
legendary headliner and several special guest appearances."
