I am not familiar with James, but I do have more than passing acquaintance
with the music of Bowie, Byrne and Siberry, as well as being an ardent fan of
Roxy Music and Bryan Ferry (in any & all incarnations); and Laurie Anderson is
well nigh a goddess to this grrl ( just ask The Husband some time about how I
was literally struck dumb in her presence, and he had to request an autograph
for me ) ..........  But to my ears all of those artists share a certain
quality of detachment and dispassion, as does Mr. Eno's own work.  And that is
neither good nor bad, but likewise, is it pop?

Oooops! Almost forgot the obligatory near-Connells content:  I once made a
"fire"-theme mix tape which sequenced GH's "Catch Fire" between Eno's "Baby's
on Fire" and the Talking Heads' "My Love is A Building".   Yum!
