Hey folks,

just made a tape to a friend here in Sweden. He wanted The The's "Dusk" and
there was some space over so I gave him some Connells songs as a bonus. I tried
to include both old as well as new songs:

Waiting My Turn, Choose A Side, Over There, Something To Say, Adjective Song,
Maybe and Friendly Time.

Most of 'em are my absolute favourites and when I recorded the tape I realised
how good WMT really is. I almost got tears in my eyes listening to that song.
It's been on repeat1 on the CD-player for the last seven hours and I really
can't get enough of it.

Perhaps it's just a periodic thing, but I think it's great when things, no
matter what subject, you thought were great suddenly turn out to be the best
there is.

Opinions?

Finally, a while ago a friend sent me a tape with the Mountain Stage show. When
speaking about the new album I consider "Maybe" to be one of the best up tempo
songs. However, the Mountain Stage version of "Maybe" is superior to the album
version. In the MS version they're going both electric as well as acoustic
which is very cool and sounds much more laid back, as well as better, imho.

Also, I like most of George's songs but I really hated "Let It Go" when I first
heard it on the album, I really couldn't imagine how it made it onto the album.
But then, when I heard the MS version of LIG I really had to revaluate that
song. (Still, the album version sucks.) LIG MS version is much more laid back
and groovier than the album version, it sounds great. Can't imagine why they
didn't make it like that on the album? The album version is way too noisy... :/

Btw, I'm writing music reviews for a military magazine called Reveljen, and in
the last issue I managed to get WFAD in the magazine. I'm proud of
that. :) Too bad you guys can't understand Swedish, and yes, it got 5 stars of
5 possible.

Take care, and let's keep this mailing list a bit more active, eh?

Yours sincerely
