Don't forget the war reference in "Get a Gun". "She never listens to me at
night/ Get a gun, get a gun/ We're losing altitude" I understand the song
is a reference to the practice of giving pilots a sidearm. Naturally, in
the air, there was not so much use for a small weapon. But if they crashed
behind enemy lines or found themselves in an otherwise hopeless situation,
they had a means of sparing themselves any unnecessary torture (and avoid
sharing secrets). That info is straight from the horse's mouth, so to
speak. A friend of mine did an interview for his college paper a few years
ago.
Regarding other recent threads, I started listening in '90 (I think) and am
23. I think I would suggest either Boylan Heights or Fun & Games as a next
purchase.
