Art,
I don't think I could GET any further off the subject (that being
the Connells), but I think you misquoted Jay Farrar in your last post. The
lyrics I've gotten off the Internet and what was closed-captioned in the
video is "If livin' right is easy" and "Silence knows you can't drown a
heart." Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled you listen to Son Volt, but I was
just trying to be helpful. And just to make this message relate to the
Connells in at least one way, I thought I'd post that I went to their
November 18th concert here in Nashville at David Lipscomb. Relatively small
venue, but I gather it was a BIG DEAL that they'd finally gotten the
Connells to come to their school. It was a good show, and I got to meet
Doug afterwards, which was a treat. Nice guy. And speaking of, he
commented on my Son Volt t-shirt and we talked about what a good band they
are. Funny how all these things are connected. Anyway, sorry for being
picky, but when it comes to SV, that's the way I am.
Catherine
