For the first time in their career, The Connells received support of
foreign licensees for the Ring record, and particularly '74-75. Intercord,
a major GAS label now owned by EMI, got the ball rolling. The single got a
shot, topped the charts, and other EEC countries followed. The Ring album
at this point has achieved GOLD status in most of those countries, and
74-75 was Top Ten in all European singles charts. Comparatively much more
widespread than any of their records in the US. Congrats to The Connells!!
