Here in LA, the major alternative station is KROQ.
        No airplay.  Period.
        There is another station that plays more "Connell's Style"
kinda stuff but they've given them zero airplay as well.
        LA is pretty much corportate music wasteland anyway.....I heard
of them through a friend when I was living in the USC dorms.  By now I
have everything except 'Heights and New Boy on CD, so I leave the
"ALTERNATIVE" stations to the Nirvana/Hole lose- (oops!) fans......
