The play shows the struggles of three shepherd's who are soon accompanied by a vagabond named
Mak. He ends up using some black magic on the shepherd's and as they fall asleep he takes a sheep
from their flock. This play correlates to the birth of Jesus because the shepherd's eventually are
visited by an angel who tells them a baby is being born in a nearby town. Prior to this the shepherd's
had caught Mak with the sheep, disguised as a baby. I don't understand how the part consisting of
the birth of Jesus connects with the theft of their sheep and the plot around it. Maybe it was a unique
way for the actors to present the birth of Jesus in their traveling parade theater.
