Electronic Distance Education Coordinator
 
Responsiblities:
Serves as coordinator for university's participation in the statewide
electronic distance education (EDE) program which employes a variety of
technologies (e.g. compressed video, ITFS, Smart 2000, Internet) to
provide off-campus academic credit courses and programs to teachers,
general studies students, and other professionals.  The coordinator works
with a variety of people and organizations to develop, schedule, and
offer courses electronically at multiple locations simultaneously.
Requires some travel>
 
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in education, business, engineering or the
liberal arts.  Master's degree preferred. 1) Minimum of two years
experience in educational program management including program
development and implementation, budgetary responsibility, and electronic
distance education delivery. 2) Demonstrated ability to successfully
accomplish complex projects involving people in a variety of professional
positions who have varying levels of technical understanding and are in
multiple geographic locations. 3) Skill in applying adult learning
theory. 4) Experience coordinating academic credit courses in a
university or community college setting preferred.
 
Full time administrative appointment through June 30, 1997. Continued
employment beyond is subject to availability of funds.  Position located
in Reno.  Starting salary $31,230+ depending on qualifications.  Postion
available March 1996.
