At Rowan College of New Jersey we have an opening for the position of
Executive Director of The Management Institute.
 
The description is as follows:
 
                         POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
 
POSITION:           EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, THE MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE
 
DESCRIPTION:
 
    Rowan College of New Jersey seeks an experienced executive with
proven leadership and business building skills to head The Management
Institute. The Institute is the primary outreach arm of the School of
Business Administration. Using both internal and external resources,
it provides public training programs and on-site training and
consulting services to the regional business community. At the same
time, it provides forums in which students, faculty, and members of
the business community may network together. The executive director
will be responsible for the development and  direction of all
Institute programs, the development and establishment of business
partnerships, the management of the yearly budget, relationships with
faculty, external resources, and business and professional groups. The
position includes responsibility for annual sales of over $500,000
and the management of a staff of seven full-time and part-time
employees.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
 
    Masters degree is preferred (ideally MBA). Five (5) to ten (10)
years managerial experience coupled with the development and delivery
of training programs for the business community is required. In
addition, the candidate should have strong marketing skills, be
experienced in direct mail marketing techniques and have a good
understanding of the management training needs of both large and
small businesses. Familiarity with the Delaware Valley business
community is highly desirable. Excellent writing and public
presentation skills are essential.

GENERAL INFORMATION:
 
    Rowan College of New Jersey is a comprehensive institution with a
diverse student population of 8500 full-time and part-time
undergraduate and graduate students in five schools: Business
Administration, Engineering, Education, Fine and Performing Arts, and
Liberal Arts and Sciences. Each of these schools is led by a dean.
There are approximately 300 full-time faculty and more than 100 part-
time and adjunct faculty. The School of Business Administration has
28 full-time faculty and approximately 800 (FTE) students enrolled in
both an MBA program and an undergraduate business program. Rowan
College is located in southern New Jersey, 17 miles southeast of
Philadelphia.
