To all Journalism Majors:
The Miami University chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists
(SPJ) will host a campus media job fair Saturday, Sept. 16, at Shriver
Center.
The event, “Journalism in the Bubble: Miami Media Job Fair,” will showcase
different campus media including The Miami Student, WMSR, Ausement and MQ
Magazine. Representatives of each group will promote and recruit for
their organization from 9 a.m. to noon in Shriver’s Multi-Purpose Room.
At 11 a.m., Ron Rollins, co-coordinator of internships and arts editor at
the Dayton Daily News, and Patricia Gallagher Newberry, lecturer in
Miami’s Journalism Program, will offer a job-search workshop, offering
tips on resumes, cover letters,clips, interviewing and related topics.
“Journalism in the Bubble” will also offer a large number of applications
for local and national media jobs, along with printed information about
searching for and landing internships and jobs in journalism.
“Journalism in the Bubble: Miami Media Job Fair” is free and open to all
