LEADERSHIP EDUCATION CONFERENCE, 1995
- Leadership Education: New Directions -
Hosted by the Jepson School of Leadership Studies
University of Richmond
July 13 - 16, 1995
This year's theme, New Directions, explores some recent and emerging issues
and practices pertinent to leadership education. The subjects of the keynote
addresses, plenary sessions, and several workshops are designed to explore
interesting new approaches to program design, curriculum and pedagogy, and
theory/research. Emphasis is on both useful practices and inclusive
conceptual frameworks.
The program also features fundamental topics such as administering a program,
building bridges with the campus and the community, developing a basic
leadership education course, assessing student leadership development, finding
appropriate sources for program development and teaching, and addressing the
diverse needs of all students. These and other topics are intended to be of
interest to educators, student affairs professionals, and program
administrators, as well as to researchers interested in education/training
issues.
