The county location given for the previously reported American Avocet on SR269,

was incorrect. The American Avocet was in Erie County, not Sandusky County, as was stated. On our return from the Pickerel Creek Wildlife Area, the American Avocet was still present at 7:15PM Saturday night. At Pickerel Creek we were unable to relocate the Laughing Gulls that had been reported recently. A warning to anyone seeking the American Avocet; SR269 is a busy, shoulder less, highway. Be careful if you stop for a quick look.
