Those of you in northern and central Ohio who have been reporting purple
finches might be on the lookout for more migrants. At Fenwick West, my
home in northwest Hocking County, there were 13 purple finches
today(Friday, April 15), 16 yesterday, and 18 on Wednesday. Purple
finches have been coming to my feeders all "winter" since November 6 but
not in large numbers as this week.

The male pine warbler that arrived on March 16 was joined by a female on
April 6 and both are still here.
