Finally, numbers and good variety down here! Yes, they were only
Visible looking back from the bridge. We are still hoping they come
Closer. Habitat has to dry up at the far edge.
10 killdeer
1 Stilt Sandpiper - yea! Finally! That’s an Ohio bird for me! Frank had
A day or two ago, so probably the same bird. Or not! Scope is needed here.
And a good knowledge of feeding styles. Birds are far.
38 Least Sandpipers
4 pecs
6 peep sp.
1 SB Dow
11 Lesser Yellowlegs.
100 swallows - I didn't scan well. Was concentrating on shorebirds.
1 Caspian Tern. Someday I’ll get Forsters and Common for the county!
11 Cedar Waxwings. Flycatching at the river. Neat to see.
The weekend looks great weather wise. Alas I have errands both mornings……
But will be out enjoying prairies in the afternoon! And there’s a July Ruddy Duck
At Adams lake state park. That is very high on my list!
Good birding all.
