*MAY 05, 2018 - CUYAHOGA VALLEY TOWPATH TRAIL MONTHLY CENSUS.*
*ROUTE*: Towpath Trail from Red Lock Trailhead south to Merriman Valley.
*TIME*: 6:20am - 6:10pm *TEMP.*: 46 ~ 76 ~ 74
*COND.*: Cool early, warming and turning sunny and pleasant; mostly cloudy
from 11:30am on.
*TRAIL COND.*: Perfect; the bridge in Boston is still out, but they're
allowing access around it via the old parking lot east of Boston Store; the
first bridge south of Deep Lock has metal plates
over the creek, allowing access to continue down the trail; the second
bridge south of Deep Lock is still out, had to leave trail where the
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad crosses Riverview
Rd. and re-join the trail after crossing that creek via the roadway; the
bridge over Furnace Run is still out, so we detoured onto the Valley Trail
to Riverview Rd. and through Szalay's Farm
Market to Bolanz Rd. *RIVER COND.*: Just about normal. *FT.MI.*: 13.63
*OBS.*: John Henry, Christopher Medvedeff (Red Lock Trailhead to Boston
