Austin is having a great time there! He's spending the time. Searching. And
Getting the doc shots. He found the bird again today - so off I go! That’s
A state bird for me. 293 I believe now. I am inching toward 300……
Scope is needed. It was a great study in plumage and structure.
It seems to be moving between Harveysburg rd. And the campground points.
The ice and snow should be melted by Thursday, but just in case not - birders
Have to walk around the inlet to get to the island. Not across! That’s water.
And presently snow covered ice.

It did feel good out there today! Warm! And it will get warmer!
I had wanted to check a few spots in Kentucky for field birds, so I headed south.
Not really thinking. I hit Petersburg Cemetery. Expecting to scan the snow covered
Field edges. Only the snow had melted….. next snow! I need Horned Lark for
Kentucky!

Lost bridge was slow. And just as I was leaving, the gadwall flock floats into
View. Stuff can “hide” along the south edge of the north pond.

Good birding all. 1/1 and I start Butler! Haven't decided where to start yet.
Goal is 200. I am easily beat….. I do these big years to learn areas. Join me!
I can be last! I have more travel planned for 2023 than I did in 2022. And now
Learned I will be back in Jersey in June. So another week out of the state.
