Greetings---thanks to those who responded with info on possible nesting uppies in Ohio.  Yesterday, just before the cold front hit, a bald eagle was soaring over the Mahoning Valley at Lowellville.  At Brungard's Farm in New Middletown (Mahoning Co.) while picking strawberries I heard horned larks, savannah sparrows, and e. meadowlarks.  No bobolinks this year, though.  These grassland species aren't easy to find near Lowellville--plus many of the hayfields have been cut recently, probably destroying lots of nests.      Later, Craig
