I started at Fernald - Hamilton county. Hoping for the Trumpeters! Nope….
Great catching up with fellow birders though! Rough winged swallows, Martin,
Chippie, etc. I deleted my list as I started talking and wasn’t paying attention.
Although the incidental protocol could have been used.

This report is not in order - I had bad weather in the morning, and head to
Head home for contractors at the house. Then I went out again! Too nice a day.
The Indian Creek - Pater wildlife area - I was trying for l. waterthrush. No success.
Late afternoon is not good for birds singing. I will try again here in a couple
Weeks if I haven't tracked one down elsewhere.

VOA - I found the spot for the sparrows! The weedy, non athletic fields…..
I had 8 Savanah sparrows. I couldn't track down a Vesper though. That area looks
Good - so I will be hitting often. It’s the area near the Cricket fields. Eastern
Meadowlarks were in full song. Always a treat! 14 Snipe! But no other
Shorebirds. I need Ellis! It’s a lake again.

Gilmore metro park had Great egrets back. Rusty blackbirds. Brown Thrasher
Catbird. My highlight may have been the mute swan though….. yea I know.
I am nuts! It was in that pond at the NE corner of the place. I don't know how
Common mute is in Butler.

Good birding all. Up to 106 for the big year.
