Around 5:15pm today I spotted a pair of Short-eared Owls diving at
eachother and barking, headed straight toward me on the western side of the
airport perimeter fence, east of Global Gateway. They went off to the
south, but then a few minutes later one came back toward me and flew right
over my head, let out a bark, and then flew back to the east. It was
amazing how silent it was in flight just ten feet right above me.

I wouldn’t recommend trying to view during the week when businesses are
open along that road.
