 And just after I hit "send", I noticed a flock of 5 savannah sparrows in the grass in front of my parking space.  
Went back at 7:45 on a whim to see if there were any woodcock -- yes, there were!  2 or 3 displaying in the field at the Erie Rd. entrance along the Rt. 2 freeway and under the high tension lines.
