Light breeeze, light chop on the lake today.  Besides the usual suspects (Canada geese, gulls, mallards): common loons (7 or 8), redbreasted mergansers (flocks), 1 dc cormorant, 1 Caspian tern, bufflehead (at least 2), possible flock of ruddy ducks, possible flock of hooded mergansers.  Last 2 groups were across the lake up against the shoreline hiding in the reeds and wavelets.  Will have to drag the scope along next time. Ken Thompson
