Several birders were unable to relocate the Western Sandpipers at the St. Mary’s fish hatchery this afternoon. There were still around 60 White-rumped Sandpipers and Pectoral, Least, Lesser Yellowlegs and 1 or 2 Semipalmated Sandpipers. In total around 80-100 non-Killdeer shorebirds. A female-type Surf Scoter was also present.
Ferguson Reservoir in Lima held hundreds of Ruddys but the highlight was a Red-necked Phalarope.
