I would just like to add that there is also a White Mulberry Tree (I
have two and the same birds love them) that provides the same attraction
without the awful stains from the purple berries.

A Mulberry tree with just maturing fruits was attracting many Cedar Waxwings, Purple Finches, Robins, Blue Jays, and even a Nuthatch stopped by to see what the attraction was. I imagine as the fruit ripens the tree will be visited by more fruit loving species. If you don't mind stains left by the berries and the birds, this appears to be a tree that can attract several species. It's an added bonus if you like to eat and cook with mulberries.
