Things were v quiet at Blacklick this morning; yesterday was more active.

The only FOY bird I got was a stunning Nashville Warbler as I was leaving. It didn’t vocalize so I was lucky to catch some movement as it perched briefly then disappeared into the woods.

I was v happy to finally see the GHO which was being harassed by 4-5 crows. It sat tight and I noted the crows didn’t venture too close.

I also saw two of the young Barred Owls and watched as an adult owl fed one of them—v cool.

Warblers
Nashville (FOY)
Yellow-throated (finally seen rather than just heard)
B&W
Yellow-rumpeds
Ovenbird (h)
Black-throated Green (h)

Blue-headed Vireo
(Didn’t see or hear White-eyed today!)

Red-breasted Nuthatch
Wood Thrushes
BG Gnatcatcher
House Wren
Ruby-crowned Kinglet

Red-tailed Hawk

At least 2 Greater Yellowlegs were at the same flooded field on Outville Rd when I was driving back home.
