Many birders take pictures of things other than birds.  Such was my
situation at Wake Robin Trail (Lake County, OH) on September 1.  I'm a
sucker for butterflies and was rewarded with my first tagged Monach (see
pictures at https://www.flickr.com/photos/85567104@N05/) .  You will notice
that it was feeding on something other than milkweed.  The tag I easily read
with binoculars if you don't have a camera



I reported the find and suggest we all take another glance at those Monarchs
that are a daily part of our birding.
