Denison was pretty quiet in the morning but I saw a Gray Catbird in the same area I saw my FOY a couple weeks ago. A couple towhees. Only sparrows Song & White-throated. Bluebirds & robins.

It was such a lovely afternoon that I decided to check out the woodcock show again at lobdell but stopped by the Land Lab first. I was treated to a female N Harrier hunting over the fields in front of the school and heard a Mockingbird.

At Lobdell, I picked up my FOY Grackles, a couple flyover flocks, and there were 4 Tree Sparrows feeding on the main path. A small group of Wood Ducks came into the pond at sunset. Red-wingeds were singing and puffing up their epaulets. Heard Killdeer also. Then the woodcocks started peenting and one landed in the path while it was still light enough to see reasonably well. There were a few aerial flights as well. I could still hear them as I walked back to the parking lot.

I drove past the Land Lab on the way home but did not hear any woodcocks there—have yet to hear any there yet. Killdeer calling there as well.
