A snow goose was reported this morning in Newbury Township, OH (Geauga
county) in with a flock of Canada Geese. We arrived about an hour after the
reported sighting and found the flock of Canada Geese but the only white
bird in with them was a Graylag-type goose (see pictures on my checklist at
https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S50026200).
Another report came through later (another checklist) showing the same - 1
Snow goose in with a flock of Canada Geese. If you just drive by it's
possible to mistake the white goose for a Snow Goose, but we took pictures
and watched it flap its wings - all white from body to tip, lacking the
black tips of a Snow Goose.
Exciting, but 'no bananas' for a Snow Goose (I still need one for 2018!!).
