Greetings from Central Ohio -

Working in a nature center in the Columbus area, I've had the "when do the hummingbirds arrive" question from just about everyone walking in the building the last few weeks!

I have watched hummingbird arrivals for years since people ask about it so much. I don't go by an exact date, but a general week or two time frame - last weekend in April through the first weekend of May. Of course there are earlier stragglers, but this time frame has not failed me for over 15 years.

This is just a generalization for central Ohio, so you should expect hummingbirds earlier if you are in the south, later in the north. Happy hummingbird watching!
