Julie and I checked out the south end of the lake at Buck Creek State Park
this morning. There were very few ducks on the lake but we did see a Surf
Scoter with ten Ruddy Ducks from the west side of the lake near the Corps of
Engineers visitor center. A scope is needed. We also saw a few Hooded
Mergansers and from the north end of the beach on the east side of the lake
we saw a few Common Goldeneyes. Otherwise we saw gulls, a cormorant, and a
Horned Grebe.
