Panhandle Road is hosting a horde of Pectoral Sandpipers and both
Yellowlegs. Mostly leaders but some greaters. I conservatively estimate at
least 1000 shorebirds here this afternoon. Apart from Killdeer, I couldn't
pick out anything else. Best viewed from the southern dike with a high
powered scope. Also had all the swallows, chimney swifts, and calling Sora
and Virginia Rail.
