To anyone who did not attend this event, you missed out on a wonderful day of birding activities, and visiting with old and new friends. We left home at 6AM, after the hour and a half drive we arrived at the Shreve School, got registered, and also entered some pictures in the photo contest. On to the vendors hall to make a quick lap to see what was available. After a few purchases we went to the old style school gymnasium for the first of the three programs we could fit in to the days schedule. With a roster of six speakers decisions had to be made. After Chuck Jakubchak's presentation, off to the pancake breakfast, a treat in it self, in the cafeteria. Then another pass thru the vendors hall, and then on to some birding. The Medina Raptor Center, in the hall and also in the parking area provided a wonderful array of live birds; Snowy Owl, Peregrine Falcon, Screech Owl, and Turkey Vulture just to name a few! This definitely added excitment. Of two and one half hours of birding, the weather was gorgeous, our highlight was the three White-winged Scoters at Wright Marsh. Back to the school for some late lite lunch, then programs by Jim McCormac and next was Kenn Kaufman.

Attendance at this event is amazing, it has to be over 850.

The vendors hall roster is to numerous to name but we can attest it is the best we have ever seen at a birding event.

Cudoes to Joe Edinger for an excellent job as ringmaster of this well organized gathering! Another highlight for myself was receiving a first place and a 2nd best of show in the photo contest. Who could ask ror more! Back home at 7PM.

What a rewarding day. To anyone that didn't make it here: we suggest you try next year!!!!
