Thursday morning at Walter C. Best Nature Preserve just south of Chardon 
on SR 44 a pair of Bald Eagles were perched by the lake and fishing in it. 
This is probably the nesting pair from nearby Bass Lake.

Other (ordinary) birds included C. Geese, Mallards, a Mute Swan, ring-bill 
gulls, chickadees, crows and cardinals.
